Square and round dancing is always fun, but a great caller can make it an experience you'll never forget. We're blessed to have one of the best callers in the country, which means every Lakeway Twirler dance is one you don't want to miss. Take a moment to read about our great caller and then check our schedule to find the nights when he'll be performing.

Mike Hoose has been calling and teaching square dancing since 1976. As a caller he has performed in most of the 50 states and several Canadian Provinces. He has called at fifteen National Square Dance Conventions and has been on the staff of several major festivals. Mike records on Red Boot Records - an internationally well known square dance label, and for the last 21 years sings tenor and lead for the world-famous Red Boot Boys caller's quartet. He was a featured caller in the 1982 World's Fair. A member of CALLERLAB since 1978, Mike teaches square dance classes in Knoxville and Morristown, Tennessee during the week and still travels extensively on weekends. He and his wife Sherry live in Morristown, TN and have two children: Sarah and Kevin.
